First Workshop on Human Factors and Activity Recognition in Healthcare, Wellness and Assisted Living (Recognise2Interact)
The iCareNet network will sponsor the First Workshop on Human Factors and Activity Recognition in Healthcare, Wellness and Assisted Living (Recognise2Interact) held in conjunction with UbiComp2013 in Zurich.
The workshop aims to enable researcher and practitioners from both Activity Recognition and Human Computer Interaction to interact and bridge the gap between these two fields. The workshop will provide a comprehensive overview on current technological solutions that benefit from the synergy of activity recognition and human computer interaction with particular focus to Healthcare, Wellness and Assisted Living applications.
All the fellows are invited to contribute with works within, but not exclusively, the following application areas:
- Interaction in hospitals and care institutions
- Interaction with context-aware systems
- Smart monitoring for rehabilitation and home motor training
- Monitoring of dieting, food intake activities and alimentary behaviors in daily life
- Ambulatory estimation of mental strain, stress, emotion and depression
- Automatic assessment of the quality of life
- Monitoring of home patients and analysis of sleep disorders
- Analysis of gait, falling and lying in Assisted Living scenarios
- Human, social and organizational aspects of wearable context-aware systems
- User Mobile Interaction
