Illapha Cuba Gyllensten
Biography:
Illapha Cuba Gyllensten is a PhD student at the Personal Health Solutions group at Philips Research. He obtained his Engineering Physics degree (M.Sc.) in 2010 at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) of Stockholm, Sweden with a master thesis on Physical activity recognition in Daily Life with accelerometers. The thesis was conducted at Philips Research, Netherlands under the supervision of Dr. Alberto Bonomi and Prof. Erik Franzen. He is currently involved in the iCareNet project as a Marie Curie research fellow. His research focuses on health monitoring and adverse event detection for chronic heart failure patients.
