Thomas Pederson

Biography: 

Thomas Pederson is an Associate Professor at IT University of Copenhagen (ITU). After receiving his PhD in Computing Science from Umeå University, Sweden, in 2003, he enjoyed stays at Fraunhofer-IPSI in Germany, INRIA/IRISA in France, and Bari University in Italy, arriving to his present position withing the Innovative Communication Group at ITU in Denmark 2009. He has in the past managed a regionally funded EU project in the healthcare domain (easyADL) but also applied his research in areas of mobile gaming, e-learning and others. His main publication venues have so far been conferences and journals related to ubiquitous/pervasive computing and human-computer interaction published by ACM, IEEE, and Springer. He was recently co-program chair for TEI’10 (Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interaction) held at MIT Media Lab and is presently co-general chair of NordiCHI 2012 (Nordic conference on Computer-Human Interaction) to be held at ITU in Copenhagen.
